Check your Distributors' AS9120 Status

The Safe Source Seal Program is the only industry quality program for independent distributors that requires a valid AS9120 certification for participation and requires them to authorize the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) to permit public access to the detailed results of their most recent AS9120 annual quality audit, posted on the IAQG's Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) database.

Companies sourcing electronic components from Safe Source Seal registered distributors have the assurance that the Safe Source Seal Tier designations on products they receive are subject to independent verification as part of their AS9120 annual quality audit.

How to check AS9120 certification and audit results:

(1) Log on to the OASIS database, found at www.sae.org/oasis. Creating
a login is quick, easy and free.

(2) Once logged in, click on the "Certified Suppliers" link in the menu.

(3) Enter the distributor's company name, or a portion of the name using
the"Starts with" or "Contains" option, and click the "Search" button.

Then simply click on the supplier's company name to view their AS9120 certificate information.  If the distributor has authorized IAQG to permit access to their most recent audit results (required for Safe Source Seal registered distributors) you can click on the "Assessment Results" tab at the top of the page to view the audit scoring details as well as any findings noted by the auditor.

Because the Safe Source Seal Program procedures must be included in the distributor's Quality Management System Manual as an Internal Procedure, any incidence of mis-representation of product sourcing under the Safe Source Seal program identified in an AS9120 audit must be noted as an audit finding.
